Write To 1K Review – Is Elna Trying To Scam You?

Howdy!

Welcome to my Writeto1K review.

Covid kicked in and now you are looking for a little side hustle or your past employer had to shut down his business and here you are: laid off.

Well, this is definitely a great opportunity to get things going online. Why?

Well, you are not the only one! Look at this:

Upwork (one of the biggest freelance marketplaces online) made a statistic about freelances. In 2027 they predict that there will be over 50.8% freelancers of the whole workforce in the U.S.!

In other words, more than half of the working people in the U.S. are going to be freelancers.

If you ask me, this is quite a number. And as I assume, you want to be one of them, right?

Now the question: Will Write To 1K help you to achieve that?

I have taken a decent look at Elna’s program and I can tell you right off the bat, you can earn money with her training (if you follow the instructions of course).

But in my opinion, if you want to earn money online by writing, there are more profitable ways to achieve that! (Which we will cover in this review as well)

But I will let you be the judge and find out for yourself.

Without further talking let’s get right into it!

What we will cover:

  • What is Write To 1K About?
  • Who Is Elna Cain?
  • How does Write To 1K work?
  • Pricing – How much does it cost?
  • Is it the right program for you? – For whom it is, for whom not
  • What I like about Write To 1K
  • What I don’t like about Write To 1K
  • My Final Opinion
  • My Alternative

What is Write To 1K About?

First of all, let’s determine what Write To 1K is. This is a quote from Elna’s sales page:

Write Your Way to Your First $1k is a step-by-step plan on becoming a profitable writer. You’ll get a framework to attract and find long-term clients.

Gets it almost to the point, right?

Let me break it down for you a bit. Write to 1K is an online course with 7 Modules and 54 lessons in total (how and what they are about, we will cover further below).

The program contains video training, different templates, cheat sheets, guides, and even a private Facebook group.

The goal is to teach you how to find clients and start earning a full-time income with writing. But it is not just about finding clients, but as Elna promises on her sales page, let well-paying customers COME TO YOU.

I was suspicious at first…

Elna relates to her visitors by telling her story of getting into writing. It all started with the lack of time she had for her children.

To be honest, when I read the story for the first time, I couldn’t accord too much credibility to it (after reviewing a bunch of products, you sooner or later become leery).

I actually wasn’t even sure if Elna Cain is a real person and was not made up by a decisive scammer.

So, I did my research and checked for resources that prove Elna’s identity. And I haven’t been disappointed, as you can see here:

Scam test: check. Write to 1K is a legit product and Elna isn’t trying to run away with your money.

Who is Elna Cain?

Elna has her own Youtube channel, that is created all about writing and becoming a full-time writer. You can check her channel here

According to her story, she started her journey when she realized that her meaningless 9 to 5 job doesn’t serve her as she desires. Because of her job, she hadn’t enough time (and money) to spend with her twins, which motivated her to start her writing journey.

She was a stay-at-home mom and had to figure it all out by herself. As she states, she has made a lot of mistakes and errors, but sooner or later started to see her first dollars rolling in. Since then she knew that it is possible to earn money by writing for businesses.

From a few dollars per month, she says that she knows earns over $1200 per article:

Pretty motivating, right? Well, I usually don’t believe “screenshots” of earnings, because you can easily fake them.

But on the basis of Elna’s engagement and social media channels, I don’t doubt her income because I know that it is possible to earn that much money for writing articles.

Besides her Youtube channel, Elna also has her personal blog (elnacain.com) and other products she created around writing. (PIC)

Does all this prove Elna’s legitimacy? Most definitely!

So, let’s move on with Write To 1K itself. How does the program work?

How does Write To 1K work?

As I mentioned above, Write To 1K is structured in 7 modules and makes a total of 54 lessons.

Let’s break it down and see what you are going to learn within the course

Module#1: Laying The Foundation – From Employee to Writer

Honestly, I didn’t expect that Elna is going to cover this in her course. Here Elna sets the ground with you of what it means to be a full-time writer. She thinks that many people are stuck in the employee mindset, which hinders their success as a writer.

So, in this module, she transitions your employee mind into a self-employed mind. Next to it, you learn how to pick your niche and set goals for your writing business.

Module #2: Building Your Writer Platform – Website & Social Media

Here you lay the foundation for your online presence. Elna teaches you how to create your very first website and get started with social media accounts. Those two channels are supposed to give access to people to see who you are and what you offer.

Module #3: Building a Portfolio – Your Writing Asset

In this module, you are going to learn how to build an attractive portfolio about writing. Elna teaches you the importance of the right presentation of your skills and your personal work. And shows you how to do that.

Module #4: Finding Clients

Within this chapter, you start getting active. Here Elna shows you the right platforms to find clients, and how to pitch them to set up a profitable contract between you and your client. She provides some of her 95 ways to find clients and how to scan through the right ones, that not only can be interested in your offer but also have enough money to pay the right amount.

Module #5: The Pitch

Here Elna shows you how exactly to pitch potential clients and goes through some of her most successful pitch templates, which are contained within the program and are available for your use.

Module #6: Your first $1K

Within this module, the rubber starts meeting the road. In order to present the right and appropriate content for your clients, Elna goes through the structure and some techniques that are important for protruding and valuable articles.

Module #7: Your Freelance Business

Here things are getting even more interesting and Elna shows you how to manage your freelance business. This includes creating invoices, choosing the right tax, and it covers a few invoicing systems she personally uses.

Pricing – How much does Write To 1K cost?

Elna’s program comes with two membership options. The one starts with $75 for 3 months or you have the chance to get lifetime access for $195

There are other programs that Elna is promoting as well but they are not mandatory in order to proceed with Write To 1K

Is it the right program for you? – For whom it is, and for whom not!

Well, this is a point that you could debate but let’s start with for whom it is not

For whom it is not

  • People that don’t enjoy writing
  • Lazy people (writing takes work!)
  • People that are looking for a getting-rich-quick scheme(writing takes time!)

In short words: Writing is not an easy job.

On Elna’s sales page it might sound like an easy hobby, “writing two 2000 word articles here, one thousand words there”.

If you are familiar with writing you know that it takes research, processing, writing, and correcting to create successful articles. And this requires time and effort! (especially at the beginning stages)

For whom it is

  • People that enjoy writing
  • People that want to quit their job by becoming a full-time writer
  • People that want to start a writing business

Basically, it comes down to someone who enjoys writing. The thing is that if you are not that much of a fan of writing, then it will be not easy. But if you like it, this course is definitely the right choice.

By the way: As I mentioned previously. If you don’t enjoy writing but would do it in order to make money online, then I recommend you to not work for others but start your own online business.

Why? Well, the potential of earning is much higher, and you are less dependent on clients.

The best way to start an online business is with affiliate marketing.

What I like About Write To 1K

  • Elna gives a thorough training on how to find paying clients
  • It is a legit program
  • There are no upsells
  • It has a refund policy (no questions asked)
  • Step-By-Step over the shoulder training

What I don’t like About Write To 1K

  • I wish there would have been more training on writing itself

My final opinion About Write To 1K

All in all Elna’s program is a legit training that shows you from 0 to hero how to get started with your writing business.

The most thing I like about it is that Elna has gone through the whole process herself and shares all her findings through tons of trial and error. You can definitely say that she is a professional in this field.

One thing that I like as well, is that she provides a great number of worksheets and pitch templates, which save you a looot of time guessing how to present yourself in the best way in front of clients. Besides the training, I think this is one of the most valuable extras of the program.

Even though it is a great program, if you really like writing (or not that much) I recommend you to learn a little bit about marketing and start your own blog. Why?

Well, the earning potential is much much higher (Millions higher), and as I have mentioned before you are less dependent on clients (and have much less hustle with finding and maintaining them).

  1. Great topic to cover. I like the way you went through discussing the potential scam elements of the Write to 1K and figured out that she, Elna Cain is for real and not wishing to rip us off. As you mention though, more than once, and I don’t blame you, why not work more for yourself. You are still writing, but as an affiliate marketer not as a writing employee.

  2. Great to see that there are reasonably priced courses on writing out there, and yes thank you for the review, as I would have never brought a course like that off the bat unless I read a review first to see what it is all about and if it is legit, as I have learned the hard way in the past.

I think this course will help a lot of people as getting jobs and clients is harder than the writing part. If you like writing you will probably already know how to do that and will want training more about the business side of things.
